MY ROLE

My key responsibilities at Nua evolved over time. My initial focus was to establish a design foundation for the brand– from setting up a design team, establishing brand guidelines and creating scalable design strategies for packaging and UI UX, to helping the larger teams understand the importance of design across various functions of the company.

Eventually, my responsibilities shifted towards conducting design research for customer-focused solutions while translating business requirements into meaningful designs. I also used this research to understand our customers better and uncover the scope for new categories for the business.

SOME KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Developed the brand identity.

  • Built a foundation for design at Nua and established design values for the company.

  • Setup a design team of full-time employees, and freelancers.

  • Conducted research and shared insights with the relevant business teams.

  • Designed and launched 10+ unique products and kits based on consumer needs.

  • Launched 6 informational guide booklets for our community of young girls and women to make them more aware about their bodies and topics relating to menstruation.

  • Revamped the website experience to align with the business goals.

  • Created a UI design system for the brand.

  • Introduced design elements at our warehouse to improve staff efficiency.

  • Designed and conducted company-wide workshops to encourage team interactions during the COVID-19 lockdown.
